Welcome to Called Back to the Well, a program funded primarily by a grant from the Lilly Endowment for Sustaining Pastoral Excellence. Called Back to the Well provides spiritual renewal in the form of retreats and groups for ministers. In the first two years of ministry over one hundred and fifty people have participated in our programs. We continue to hear from those who have taken part in a group or retreat and discover the lasting impact of this program in the form of spiritual practice, support groups, and greater vitality in congregations. There are several opportunities to grow spiritually with Called Back to the Well. Whether you come to a retreat, a monthly Sabbath day, or join a group, you will discover a deeper connection to the Holy. All Called Back to the Well, programs use silence as a key resource. There are many wonderful continuing education programs available across the country. This program focuses on formation rather than imparting information. In the quiet, yet part of a larger community, you will begin to remember who you are and who God calls you to be. In this space, you will discover what nourishes you and find ways to cultivate that. I hope you will choose to join a group, come away for a retreat, or participate in a Sabbath day. You will be glad you did.
