Servant Leader Awards
The Servant Leader Awards honor those in our community who have a lifestyle of servant leadership.
Servant leadership may grow out of a calling to help those in need, to live out one’s faith in day-to-day work, or to mentor and influence others to a life of leadership focused on outcomes that are above and beyond one’s own self-interest.
Through volunteering, encouraging, and giving of their time and resources, a Servant Leader challenges us to live life courageously, to walk in faith and to honor God. Most of us can remember a parent, teacher, pastor, coach, or co-worker who impacted who we are today. Those are the people we want to seek out and honor. Criteria for Receiving the Servant Leader Award:

Two categories will be recognized in 2011:

“Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” Martin Luther King Jr. from the sermon "The Drum Major Instinct." |
