A psychological evaluation is used to better understand a child’s depth and breadth of difficulties in a number of different circumstances, such as trauma, confusing and stressful behaviors and thoughts, and making a differential diagnosis. A psychological evaluation includes clinical interviews with the child and parents or extended family, a developmental history, a battery of psychological tests, any relevant medical and school records, and other data relevant to each individualized evaluation. Dr. John Harlow performs psychological evaluations.
