Silent Samaritan History and Purpose
For seventeen years the Silent Samaritans, a diverse group of Albuquerque area women and other supporters, have made a commitment to help women with limited financial resources to access counseling.  In an environment sensitive to their unique needs, Samaritan has been able to provide wholeness and healing to women in their personal, family, and professional lives through the generosity of the Silent Samaritans.

We invite you to join this dynamic group with a gift to the Good Samaritan Fund and continue to support women who otherwise would not be able to access quality services. Proceeds from the Silent Samaritan luncheon benefit the Good Samaritan Fund at the Samaritan Counseling Center which provides counseling services for poor, uninsured or underinsured clients, many of whom are women.

The Samaritan Counseling Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that seeks to serve everyone in Central New Mexico regardless of their financial resources.  While health insurance may help with costs, 50% of our clients are either uninsured or must pay a reduced fee to pay for services. Since 1987, the Samaritan Counseling Center has provided more than $6.5 million in charitable services to children, adults, couples, and families with limited financial resources.
